POSITION SUMMARY

In this position you play a pivotal role in safely transporting and delivering products to our valued customers. You will be responsible for ensuring the secure loading, transportation, and unloading of products, while upholding the highest standards of safety and customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport products to designated locations.
• Properly secure slabs on the vehicle to prevent damage during transit.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver’s logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records, and other records required by FMCSA and Architectural Surfaces policy.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and readiness.
• Collaborate with warehouse team to ensure accurate order fulfillment and loading.
• Safely unload products at customer locations, exercising caution to prevent damage to both the product and property.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures and documentation.
• Assist with general warehouse duties and organization as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient routes and delivery schedules.
• Maintain professional representation of Architectural Surfaces in all interactions with customers and through responsible driving.
• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Ability to follow written and verbal/non-verbal instructions.
• Ability to use and/or learn proper forklift operation.
• Comprehension of invoice and order processing.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays (dependent on branch hours).
• Valid driver's license without CDL requirement.
• Proven ability to safely operate vehicles, with experience in moving and transporting heavy materials preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-focused attitude.
• Basic math skills for verifying order accuracy.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Experience with short haul driving preferred.
• Clean driving record required.
• Valid driver's license with non-CDL requirement.
• Proven ability to safely operate vehicles, with experience in moving and transporting heavy materials preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-focused attitude.
• Basic math skills for verifying order accuracy.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50+ lbs.
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
